Urgent care visit #1

1/27/08

Today we went to visit Wesley's auntie Jennie at her work (Park Nicolette Urgent Care!) Wesley has had diarrhea for over one week now. I noticed on Tuesday night after his bath that his lower back and thighs were full of little red bumps. I just figured that he has a virus and that is the way the virus is coming out of him. He has not had a fever or lost his appetite. He woke up this morning and his diaper was full of diarrhea (again!) Ronnie and I decided we better get him checked out. We called nurse Jennie and she got us right in. Thankfully she was working today :) The doctor didn't seem to be too concerned. He wrote out a "recipe" for poop goop and told us to also give him some Pedialyte. We went to Target looking all over for "Poop goop" and I finally just asked the pharmacist and she told me that we need a prescription for the poop goop. She called it "Butt Paste" I had Jennie call the "recipe" in so now we get to apply "cement" to our baby's butt after every diaper change! I am hoping that his poor little bottom clears up soon.

Todd's 40!!!!!

My brother-in-law turned the BIG 4-0 on January 14th. We got together to celebrate the big birthday with his mom and her friend Charlie. My parent's and my sister and the kids (Sydney and Tristan) Tristan was being a little stinker and kept hiding under the table so he is not in the picture but he was there! Happy Birthday Todd. Thanks for showing us the ropes on turning 40! Only 5 years to go and your wife will be right there with you! If you look closely on the floor you can see all of Wesley's cheerios! Opps, sorry waitress! I didn't notice all the cheerios on the floor until now. Those cheerios were a lifesaver. They entertained Wesley for a good half an hour!

Biter biscuit

Wesley's new favorite treat!

Fondue Night!

We had The Duscher's and The Youngquist's over for dinner on January 19th. The theme of our party was "Fondue night" It was also Jennie's birthday. We decided to try and fondue. We had a fondue pot for chicken, steak and shrimp. We had a fondue pot of cheese for veggies and bread. Our last fonue pot was chocolate for strawberries, bananas, pineapple and almond pound cake. It was delicious but definately a lot of work! Happy Birthday Jennie! We hope you had a great birthday.

Parker's Birthday party!

Wesley got invited to his friend Parker's 1st birthday party. He had lots of fun with his friends Parker, Ella, and Logan. The party was at the Maple Grove Community Center. Wesley got to go into the balls for the first time. My girlfriends and I put our kids in the balls together and as you can see they didn't like being in there. Parker started crying and so Wesley and the rest of the kids started crying. I can't believe how big Wesley looks on the slide! Wow, my baby is not a baby anymore! We had a great time at the party. We hope Parker had a great birthday. He really lOVED his birthday cake! What a cutie!

The girl's (12/29/07)

We wish you a lifetime of happiness, Mattie!

Mr and Mrs Helfman ( 12/29/07)

The wedding was so much fun! Mattie looked so beautiful. We had a great time at the wedding. According to Mattie I still have my "rockstar" status! We were on the dance floor tearing it up! Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Youngquist for coming over and babysitting Wesley so we could have a much needed night out!

Wesley and Terry

Terry stopped over on Saturday night for a bit. She brought over a few Christmas presents for Wesley. He LOVES the blocks she got him. Thank-you "Auntie" Terry!

9 month's old! ( 1-3-08 )

We went to the doctor last friday (1/4/08) Wesley weighs 22.8 pounds and he is 30 inches tall. He is still in the 95th percentile for height but he has dropped down to the 75th percentile for weight. He had to get a booster flu shot AND his finger pricked! He did not like either one of those. I had to hold the gauze on his finger for 5 minutes so the blood would clot off. It felt like I was holding his finger for an hour. He did not like not being able to move around for 5 minutes! Thankfully Ronnie was with and he was able to entertain him for that time. Wesley got his very first tooth on Saturday morning! (1/5/08) I happened to check his mouth and I felt it and screamed with excitement. Of coarse we had to call the Grandparent's and tell them his new milestone! I think any day now Wesley will start to crawl. He just started to scoot backwards tonight. Ronnie installed a baby gate last week. It is now only a matter of time before he is going to be everywhere! We still have to baby proof the house but we are almost there. Wesley is really good at saying "Dada" and once in a great while we hear a "mama" so we think anyways. He loves to play in his bed in the morning and all we hear is lots and lots of chatter. That is my favorite part of the day. Waking up to my baby cooing and chatting away in his room. He loves books. He will sit in my lap and I will read up to 10 books before he even tries to do something else. It is amazing to me how into book's he is. I think he is going to be my little book worm. We are trying to get him to take a sippy cup but he doesn't want anything to do with it so we just keep trying!

Rubber Ducky!

My friend Jill gave this to Wesley when he was just born. I just now blew it up and set it in the family room. Wesley wanted to sit in it so I set him in there. It is suppose to be for the bathtub. The beak is so cute you press it and it quacks like a real duck!

The new ride!

Wesley's loves when Daddy pushes him all around the house in his new toy! The other night while I was at work they were in the basement for 45 minutes and Ronnie pushed Wesley all around! I guess I missed him giggling and squealing! Thank-you Grandma and Grandpa Dehmer! Your gift is a hit!

Christmas Day!

After we opened gifts from Santa we packed up the car and went to Ronnie's parent's house for Christmas. We celebrated the day with Scott, Jennie, Jakie and Matthew and Grandma Youngquist. We had a great time. Jennie and I took the boys to get their picture taken together in November. Grandpa and Grandma Youngquist had no idea so the picture's you are about to see are of Ronnie's mom seeing the photo of her Grandson's together. We knew that would make her cry! Yes, that was our plan! Melt Grandma's heart! I had to rush off to work by 3 p.m. but everyone else including Wesley and Ronnie were able to stay and relax the rest of the afternoon. It was so hard to leave and go to work after such a wonderful ham dinner! Thankfully this is my very last year working holiday's!
