19 month's (11/3/08)

Here are the numbers: Height 33 1/2 inches tall (95th percentile) Weight 27 pounds (75th percentile) Wesley is a big kid! He is wearing almost 2T at 19 months. He is doing very good. He can tell you what sound almost every animal makes. He can almost count to three. He gets stuck at 2 everytime. He can tell you where his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, chin, hair, fingers, toes and belly button is. He can say lots of words now. He loves to say "Moon, Cracker, Tractor, Momma, Dah dey (daddy) Papa, Tibby, Jakie, Nin-nee (Sydney) Nam mee (grammy)He loves to sit on my lap and look at all the picutes on the blog. He woke up the other day and the first thing he said was Jakie! We had to go to the computer and see his cousin Jakie. It was really cute! We have had several tough months with him and sleeping. He has never been a good night time sleeper but lately he has been out-of-control. He wakes up 2-3 times in the middle of the night and won't go back to bed till I go in there. It has been a work in progress. I am trying now to let him cry it out but it is SO TOUGH! I am such a sucker. When he screams "Momma" I go running! I know my hubby would like to hold me down and not let me go in there as it is what needs to be done. I am working hard on it but like I said it is a work in progress. Wesley is getting his I-teeth now so that has been part of the problem too. He has 13 or 14th teeth now. He is just so busy! Each day he does something so darn cute that just brings such a smile to my face-makes the long nights worth every second!

The last gorgeous day of 2008 we spent over at my parent's house. My sister, Sydney, Tristan Wesley and I hung outside and played in the leaves. We had a blast. Wesley loves to follow his cousins everywhere. It was really cute.

Halloween 2008

What a beautiful night for trick or treaters! FINALLY!! Well our night didn't start out that great. Ronnie and I didn't get home till after 5:30. Ronnie has been working lots of long hours lately so we didn't get a chance to carve the pumpkins Thursday night so we (or should I say Ronnie) carved the two pumpkins on the back gate of the truck till almost 6:30. Wesley would only wear part of his costume (black sweatpants and a black onesie) so we handed out candy for most of the night. Wesley LOVED all the kids coming to his house. After a while I said "Let's go downstairs and get your pumpkin" We went downstairs and got his pumkin. He carried it up stairs and went right to the candy dish by the front door and put a piece of candy in his pumpkin bucket! It was so cute! As you can see Ronnie struggled with Wesley to get his costume on. He screamed and carried on so I took the Nemo hat off and he was better with the hat off. We went to a few houses then came back and handed out candy to the trick or treaters, Maybe next year it will be better?

I tried the Nemo hat on Wesley a week before Halloween. To my surprise he loved wearing the hat so I was thinking that putting the costume on him on halloween would be no problem....boy was I wrong!

I have posted before a few picture's of my nursing school friends kids. We all had babies within 6 months of each other. Jill had Ella (Nov 2006) Leah had Parker (Jan 2007) and I had Wesley (April 2007) and now Jill just had her second baby girl Maiya Ann on September 4th 2008-Congrats Jon, Jill and Ella on your newest family member. Leah is due next month with a little boy. I had a playdate at my house a few weeks ago. It is so much fun to see them play together.

Every year my sister gets the shaft when it comes to her birthday. I guess that's what happens when you have your child 4 days before your birthday. Mother's as we all know put themselves last. My sister always makes sure Syd's b-day is all the focus but I do feel she should get her own party sometime in the near future! Happy Birthday Sis. Thanks for being such a great friend/sister to me. I would be lost without you. I hope you had a very special day. Happy Birthday! We love you!

Happy 7th Birthday Sydney (10/20/08)

Sunday, October 19th we went to Sydney's birthday party at the Green Mill. We had such a nice time. Sydney is into The American Girl everything. My mom and I went in together on her present. We got her the American Girl horse. I can't believe how expensive all that stuff is. It is really cute but geez! Next weekend the American Girl store is opening here at the Mall Of America. I bet it will be super busy! We had a great time celebrating Sydney's birthday. She has really matured in the last year. She is no longer my little girl but she will always be my favorite girl. I can say that because she is the ONLY girl in our family. Ronnie's sister has all boys. Wesley just loves his Sydney and calls her "NIN-NEE" Happy 7th Birthday Syd. We love you!

Happy Anniversary! (October 15th!)

Thank-you for three years of wedded bliss! I can't believe our big day was already three years ago. Thank-you for all of my beautiful roses. You are one in a million. I love you!

We were getting ready to leave the birthday party and Wesley was waving Bye bye and everyone would cheer after he waved. He loved that all eyes were on him so he did it about 50 times! It was so cute. It was one of those moments that you just had to be there!

Matthew turned 5-years-old on October 1st! We celebrated at the Duscher's house. We had pizza and birthday cake. Matthew is into "The Incredible Hulk" as you can see he got some very BIG hulk gloves. He loves to draw, I think he is going to be the artist in the family. Happy 5th Birthday Mattie! We love you!

Over a month ago now Sydney and Tristan had a sleepover at our house for the entire weekend. We had a good time. Wesley was in heaven having kids around all weekend. Here is a few photo's of the kids hanging out.

Fall Project!

We bought Wesley a new swingset. Thankfully my husband is very handy and able to tackle anyting. It is going to be a huge project but worth it when it is all over with. We are hoping he will have it complete by next weekend. Here are a few photo's of how it is going.....!
